Smack DAB

Attached to the beautiful Manteo Resort, Smack Dab is, forgive me, Smack Dab in the middle of the resort action in the lower Mission area, as it is also within walking distance to the historic El Dorado Resort & Marina, and Playa Del Sol Resort & Cabana Restaurant. Smack Dab features an impressive menu of local beer and wine, as well as the standard cocktails (their Red Sangria is out of this world), tapas, sandwiches, international dishes and pizzas. The restaurant is beautiful, but if you're visiting on a hot summer's day, try to get a table on the waterfront patio. If you can find a spot in the main parking lot, you will notice that the signs say "Permit Required". You can get their permit for free from the hostess inside the restaurant. However, if you can't find parking in the Manteo lot, there is pay parking next door at the El Dorado Marina & Boat Launch for $0.50/hour.
